Let AI scrape competitor sites and create actionable analysis reports in minutes

Step 1. Set up your Team-GPT Project knowledge

Navigate to your Project in Team-GPT. Click the “Project knowledge” button to open the sidekick.

Add your essential context:

  • Your company information and value proposition
  • Your website URL for AI reference
  • Current competitive landscape insights
  • Your unique selling points and differentiators
  • Target market and customer segments
  • Previous competitor research (if available)


This context gets referenced automatically in every chat within the Project, so you only need to set it up once.

Step 2. Build your comprehensive analysis prompt

Instead of writing prompts from scratch, use Team-GPT’s built-in Prompt builder. Click the “Tools” button in the left sidebar to access it. Describe your task in simple words. For example: “I need to analyze my competitors and compare their features to ours.”

The Prompt builder will ask follow-up questions to gather more context. After that, the tool will generate the perfect prompt.

Save your prompt to the Prompt library and share it with your team for future use. You can find the Prompt library in the sidekick menu or when you type “/” in the chat input field.

You are a professional business analyst specializing in competitive intelligence with expertise in the {{industry}} industry.

Follow these steps:

For each competitor, analyze:

Run your saved prompt and let the Team-GPT:

  • Scrape your website to understand your business
  • Search the web to identify your main competitors
  • Analyze competitor websites and gather intelligence
  • Generate comprehensive comparison reports


The AI will reference all the Project knowledge you added earlier, ensuring the analysis is contextual to your specific business needs.

Step 4. Deep dive with follow-up analysis

Once you have the initial analysis, dig deeper by asking specific questions like:

  • “What are the pricing strategies of our top 3 competitors?”
  • “What features do they offer that we don’t?”
  • “What market positioning opportunities are they missing?”


Your team members can jump into the same chat to ask additional questions or request specific comparisons.

Step 5. Convert to an editable Page and share

Hover over any AI response and click “Turn to Page” at the bottom. 

Pages gives you complete control over your content. Each paragraph becomes an interactive block that you can:

  • Click and edit: Make direct changes to any text
  • Drag and drop: Easily reorganize your content by moving blocks up or down
  • Delete unnecessary paragraphs
  • Use AI on individual blocks: Select any paragraph and use options like “Paraphrase,” “make this Shorter/Longer,” “Summarize,” or enter custom prompts like “make this more professional”
  • Customize: Apply various text and background colors to highlight important sections


The page is automatically available to your team within the project, and you can share it directly with specific teammates when needed.

Step 6. Save to Project knowledge

Add the competitor analysis to your Project knowledge so it becomes available as context for all future AI chats within that Project. This way, your team can reference these insights in ongoing conversations.
