How You Can Cancel Your ChatGPT Subscription
In this section, I’ll walk you through 2 different ways of cancelling your ChatGPT subscription on your desktop and then how you can do it on your phone: 👇
#1: The Standard Approach To Canceling ChatGPT’s Subscription
Canceling ChatGPT Plus and Pro
You can cancel your Plus and Pro ChatGPT subscription on your desktop by:
- Clicking on ‘’View Plans’’ at the bottom of the left sidebar.
- Choosing ‘’Manage my subscription’’ on the new page that opens.
- Selecting ‘’Cancel Plan’’ on the checkout page.
➡️ Only existing Plus and Pro plan users will see the ‘’My Plan’’ option, which means that ChatGPT users on the Team plan have a different way to cancel their subscription.
Canceling ChatGPT’s Team Plan
You can cancel your ChatGPT Team subscription by:
- Going to the ‘’Manage subscription’’ section in your account details.
- Finding where the ‘’Team Plan’’ is on the subscription details.
- Clicking on ‘’Cancel Plan’’.
- Following the prompts to confirm the cancellation.
After that, you’ll receive a cancellation confirmation email that you will need to review and confirm.
Canceling ChatGPT’s Enterprise Plan
To cancel your ChatGPT’s Enterprise plan, you will need to contact OpenAI’s account management team to sort that out for you.
Depending on your contract, that might involve notice periods or terms outlined in the service agreement, such as a 30-day notice.
It might also require submitting a formal cancellation request, depending on the size of your contract.
⚠️ Disclaimer: I have not personally cancelled a ChatGPT Enterprise plan and I was not able to find on the Internet examples of others doing it.

#2: The Alternative Way To Cancel Your ChatGPT Subscription
I found user testimonials on Reddit claiming that the standard cancellation approach did not work out for them.
Here is the alternative way of cancelling your ChatGPT subscription on your desktop:
- Click on ‘’Add Team Workspace’’.
- Scroll down as if you’re going to be setting up a workspace.
- Choose ‘’Manage My Subscription’’.
- From there you can cancel the subscription.
How To Cancel Your ChatGPT Subscription On Mobile
Cancelling ChatGPT on iPhone
Here’s how you can cancel your ChatGPT subscription if you subscribed through the Apple App Store:
- Go to ‘’Settings’’ on your iPhone.
- Tap your name and select ‘’Subscriptions’’.
- Tap on ‘’ChatGPT’’ when you are presented with your current active subscriptions.
- Choose ‘’Cancel Subscription’’ and confirm the cancellation.
Cancelling ChatGPT on Android
Here’s how you can cancel your ChatGPT subscription in the Google Play Store:
- Open the Google Play Store and make sure that you’re signed in to the correct Google account.
- Tap Menu and then tap on ‘’Subscriptions’’.
- Select the ChatGPT Plus subscription and choose ‘’Cancel Subscription’’.
- Follow the additional instructions provided to your phone for confirmation (it’ll probably ask you why you’re cancelling as well).
